For Spring/Summer ‘24, cote&ciel returns to Tokyo for its latest in-season campaign to celebrate the launch of its Budgie Green capsule. Produced by sabukaru online, the Tokyo-based media collective cast its revered lens on the products in a cultural perspective of modern times.
Together with Sabukaru, the editorial conveys a shared perspective established last year in their previous ‘The Next Generation Worker’ visuals. The latest concept delves further into portraying the reality of contemporary society and the mundanity of everyday life. The relentless pursuit of work is often rendering us mere shells of our true selves. This vision is manifested through scenes of models purposefully stumbling into walls, walking off ledges or faltering on stairs without recovery - a surreal portrayal of what society is doing to us.

Shot against the backdrop of Tokyo Big Sight, a renowned metropolitan hub, the editorial immersed itself in the bustling energy of inner-city life. Leveraging the expertise of some of Tokyo’s best creatives, the Budgie Green Capsule amongst other seasonal offerings is put in centre stage.
An exclusive seasonal release, the capsule is composed of key côte&ciel bags like the LADON, ADDA and TARO that have been reupholstered using the Budgie Green fabrication, made of 100% nylon. The subtle green hue of the fabric is inspired by the kaleidoscopic colours of the Northern Lights, an homage to this season’s overarching theme.
